Exploring a brand new world in 1.0!

Squid under the ice!
An Enderman by the moon!
Gotta have a shelter for night-time. Here's my initial house.
I was feeling a bit lonely, so I booted up mcmap and found I was near an npc village!

So off I ventured!
I can see it!

Minecraft Release!

Minecraft has been released!

And since it's getting colder outside, I thought it was about time to wrap up warm in-game too in my nice warm green hoodie:

Updated Maps

Rather than posting here, which I don't do very often, I've decided to make my minecraft world 1 maps albums available publically through picasa web albums. For those interested, here are the links:

World 1 Daytime

World 1 Nighttime

They're at full resolution too, rather than the smaller versions blogger uses. Enjoy!

Welcome to World 1

A tour of my built world - World 1.

First, the map!
(Click the pic to see the bigger version - especialy useful for the maps).

World 1

World 1 at night!

And now a quick photo tour:

My first building!

My first mine!
I thought this was a big mine at the time... not so anymore!

The view towards the tower. Crops growing down below, probably being eaten by that sheep.

A boat! The little square of sand is my respawn point, don't want to come back in the water now do I?
A bridge support near my respawn point.

Floating Islands - A work in progress.

Underwater Glass Tunnel - Another work in progress.
The view back to the first set of buildings.

The adventure begins!

Welcome to the ongoing adventures of Tj in Minecraft!

Where best to start? An avatar would be a good idea.

Christmas was recent, I can still wear the hat!
Worlds next. Here are some of the world's I've generated (just the starting areas):

So what world did I settle on in the end? Ironically, when I first started playing, I just went ahead and just build in the first world I generated. Only later have I found that it's actually one of the more boring worlds I've been to! I also have another world purely for exploring, just to see what I will come across.

Next time... I'll show you my worlds!
